History

This computer center was established in 1996 with the funds prvided by the world bank.This Resource Center was ceromonially opened by the Director of the Education office Akuressa, Mr Kurukulasuriya,the principal of MR/Godapitiya M.M.V, Mr L.Chandrasena and the center manager of the Resource Center , Mr W.S.Weerasinghe.The opening ceromony was also attended by the instructors of the CRC,the teachers of the MR/Godapitiya M.M.V.and the students of the Computer Resource Centre.

This Computer Resource Centre was started with five instructors, and they gave their fullest co-operation to develop the center. After Mr Weerasinghe this center was conducted with the guidence of the next CRC Manager Mr. B.G.Darmapala.

Presently this center is managed by Mr G.M.S.Weerasinghe with the help of two other instructors. After sitting (O/L)and (A/L)Examinations students can follow Basic and Advanced computer cources at this center.We conduct so many other computer courses such as,

Youth Rangers Training programme

Rata Dinavana vishistayo programme

Teacher Training programme

and

Graduate Training programme

at this centre. We hope to give better computer literacy to everybody and make them better compuer proffesionals of it and become the best computer centre in the area.
